COMPETITION RULES & PROGRAM
Instrument categories:
Piano
String instruments (violin, viola, cello, double bass)
Age groups and program:
I. Contestants Age 7 or under.
One or two pieces in different styles. Total duration - max. 5 min.
Piano: free choice - one or two pieces
Strings: free choice - one or two pieces
II. Contestants Age 10 or under.
One or more pieces in different styles. Total duration - max. 7 min.
Piano: free choice - one or more pieces
Strings: free choice - one or more pieces
III. Contestants Age 14 or under.
One or more pieces in different styles. Total duration - max. 10 min.
Piano: at least one piece from classical period
Strings: at least one piece from Vivaldi or one piece from classical period
IV. Contestants Age 17 or under.
One or more pieces in different styles. Total duration - max. 15 min.
Piano: at least one piece from classical period
Strings: at least one piece from Vivaldi or one piece from classical period
V. Contestants Age 22 or under.
One or more pieces in different styles. Total duration - max. 20 min.
Piano: at least one piece from classical period
Strings: at least one piece from Vivaldi or one piece from classical period
Competition rules:

Only the Judges decide the price winners. The decision of the Jury is final.

Judges are not permitted to evaluate or provide scores for their own students. To ensure impartiality, any judge with a pedagogical relationship to a contestant must recuse themselves from that specific grading process.

It is allowed to perform single movements of a longer works (such as sonatas and concertos).

Laureates of all age groups are obliged to perform at the laureate's concert without extra gratification on the 6th of August, 2024. The program of the concert will be arranged by the jury.

Contestants in each category are required to perform within a limited time. The jury is entitled to interrupt or end an audition at any time and to choose selected pieces from the prepared program.

Contestants in the string instruments category will perform with piano accompaniment. Accompanist will be provided by the organisers of the competition. Contestants are obliged to provide accompanists with sheet music.

Performing order is decided by the committee at random. No changes will be allowed after announcement.
